A suicide attack on a military convoy in North Waziristan’s tribal district on Saturday claimed the lives of 13 servicemen and injured three civilians, including two children and a woman, as the army chief pledged to pursue terrorists relentlessly.
The leading group stopped a vehicle-borne suicide bomber who tried to blow himself up close to the security forces’ convoy, thwarting his evil plan, the military’s media wing, ISPR, said in a statement.
“However, in their desperation, the Indian-sponsored Kharjis crashed an explosive-laden vehicle into one of the leading group’s vehicles,” the statement continued. “Therefore, thirteen courageous sons of the soil accepted shahadat.”
The ISPR claims that the cowardly attack, which was “planned and orchestrated by the terrorist state of India through its proxy Fitna al-Khawarij,” also seriously injured three innocent civilians, including a woman and two children.
Security forces began sanitizing the area after the deadly attack. According to the ISPR, “14 terrorists were killed during the ensuing exchange of fire,” and the operation was still going on to get rid of any more threats.

The injured civilians received immediate medical assistance, according to the ISPR.
It stated that the sacrifices made by both soldiers and civilians “further reinforce our unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation at all costs” and that “the security forces of Pakistan, along with the nation, remain resolute in their determination to eliminate terrorism from the country.”
