Pakistan’s security forces eliminated 14 terrorists from the Indian-backed militant group Fitna-ul-Khawarij in the Dattakhel area of North Waziristan, the military’s media wing confirmed on Wednesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation took place during the night of June 2-3, following reliable intelligence about the presence of the Indian-sponsored proxy group in the region. A fierce firefight broke out, resulting in the successful targeting and neutralization of the terrorists’ hideout.
A clearance operation is ongoing to remove any remaining threats in the area, ISPR added, reaffirming the security forces’ commitment to eradicating terrorism and safeguarding the nation.
“Our forces are resolute in eliminating Indian-sponsored terrorism from Pakistani soil,” stated the ISPR spokesperson.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif applauded the operation’s success, commending the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces.
“The enemies of humanity will never achieve their malicious goals. The government and security institutions stand united and resolute in the fight against terrorism,” he affirmed.
PM stated that our forces will eradicate India backed terrorism from Pak grounds and will not let anyone to spread chaos in the country.
Federal Minister for Communications and President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), Abdul Aleem Khan, also praised the security forces, calling the operation a strong message to India and its proxies.
“The elimination of the Indian-backed Fitna-ul-Hindustan group is part of our ongoing efforts under Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos. Our forces are defeating the enemy both at the borders and within,” said Aleem Khan.
He highlighted the nation’s steadfast support for the armed forces, emphasizing that “the loyalty of our security institutions remains unquestioned.”
