Security forces foiled an infiltration attempt from Afghanistan, killing 30 Khawarij terrorists in operations conducted over two nights in North Waziristan, ISPR reported on Friday.
According to the statement, on the evenings of July 1–2 and July 2-3, a sizable contingent of terrorists, identified as Khawarij and affiliated with the Indian proxy group Fitna al Khawarij, were observed moving through the Hassan Khel region close to the Pakistan–Afghanistan border.
According to a statement from the ISPR, security forces interacted with the group and “thwarted the Indian-sponsored Khawariji terrorists’ attempt to infiltrate.”
Military wing reported that, a significant amount of explosives, ammunition, and weapons were found at the location.
The terrorists who were killed were involved in several terrorist attacks, including ones that targeted law enforcement and civilians, according to ISPR.
The military reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces are “resolute and unwavering” in their commitment to defending the country’s borders and driving out Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country, and the ISPR urged the Interim Afghan Government to stop “foreign proxies” from using Afghan territory to plan terrorist attacks against Pakistan.
