The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics reported a 0.73% increase in weekly inflation, with the annual rate standing at 2.06% year-on-year.
Details revealed on Friday indicate that over the course of the previous week, the cost of 18 necessities went up, six items went down, and the cost of 27 items stayed the same.
According to the PBS, the cost of a kilogram of broiler chicken increased by Rs39.99.
Onions saw a price increase of Rs5.50 per kg, tomatoes by Rs8, garlic by Rs18, and potatoes by Rs3 per kg.
The price of a kilogram of sugar increased by Rs. 10 to Rs. 185.
The cost of mutton, powdered milk, and a number of other necessities also showed an upward trend.
According to the PBS, moong dal dropped by Rs1.21 per kg and eggs became more affordable by Rs1.53 per piece.
