Abhishek Bachchan has firmly closed down long-standing rumours on social media regarding his supposedly troubled marital life with wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, terming such speculation as baseless.
While recently speaking to a publication, the actor of Dasvi had responded to the buzz about a reported fissure in his marriage.
“I return home to a peaceful family,” he said while attributing his wife Aishwarya for the peace and emotional stability that governs their personal lives, irrespective of the din outside.
“One thing for certain, first my mother (Jaya Bachchan) and now my wife (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), they don’t let that outside world enter there,” he said.
The actor, who comes from one of Bollywood’s most renowned families, further said that being brought up in the industry has instilled in him the ability to distinguish between reality and rumor.
“I have grown up in this film industry, so I also know what to take seriously and what not to take seriously. I don’t get affected by what’s happening on social media,” he asserted.
Husband-wife trouble rumors have been circulating for months, with some fans citing Aishwarya’s dwindling appearances at family events and selective social media posting.
Others took to speculating a widening rift over supposed disagreements with the larger Bachchan family.
But neither Abhishek nor Aishwarya have ever publicly confirmed such rumors – and now, Abhishek’s latest statement seems to put paid to the gossipmongers once and for all.
The two, who married in 2007 and have a daughter, Aaradhya, have been frequently at the center of rumors online.
But Abhishek’s recent statements appear to end divorce rumors – at least for the time being.
