On Wednesday, a bomb explosion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa district Bajaur killed at least five people including an assistant commissioner, of which 11 others were injured.
DPO, Waqas Rafique told media, that five persons were killed in an explosion against the government vehicle on Nawagai road in Siddiqabad railway attack area of Khar tehsil.
Among the dead are two policeman and a civilian, Rafique said.
The impact of the bomb was severe to the extent that the car intended was leveled down and on the other hand 11 people hit by the blast suffered injuries and were taken to Khar Hospital immediately without any delay.
The DPO claimed that security had been tightened in the region and relief operations were under progress.
On the deceased side there is Nawagai Assistant Commissioner Faisal Ismail, Tehsildar Abdul Wakil, subedar Noor Hakim, and the police constable Rashid.
Health Adviser Ihtisham Ali also condemned the blast and lamented over the death of the assistant commissioner and other people who died during the incident.
He wrote to district health officer and the medical superintendent of the DHQ hospital in Bajaur and asked about the welfare of the people who were injured in the attack.
A state of emergency has been declared in Bajaur hospitals, and the health staff has been called to first aid he said.
Furthermore, the KP government spokesperson Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif greatly criticized the event and stated that it was unfortunate to lose lives.
