India is now the country chosen to host the Asia Cup. India and Pakistan have agreed to play their matches at neutral locations for three years.
Regarding hosting the Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates, the Asian Cricket Council is anticipated to make a decision shortly.
In April earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that the national women’s cricket squad will not be heading to India for the upcoming Women’s World Cup.
Instead, the board awaits a final agreement that would enforce a neutral venue, contingent on India’s response.
Naqvi emphasized the significance of unity within the team, stating that strong results stem from cohesive performance. Any team that plays with collective spirit sees improvement, and our women cricketers deserve recognition and rewards for their efforts, he remarked.
He added that although India is the designated host, the choice of venue ultimately lies with them. Minor tweaks in the women’s squad have brought visible progress, he noted.
