Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto is bustling with activity today. Workers and supporters of PPP has gathered to mark the 17th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, the first woman elected as prime minister in the Islamic world.
During an event in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, the ancestral village and final resting place of the Bhutto family, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, President Asif Ali Zardari will deliver speeches to pay tribute to Benazir Bhutto.
Numerous prominent political leaders are expected to attend the event to honor the memory of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
Bhutto supporters from all over Pakistan have come to Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to honor the late leader. They have gathered there to commemorate their leader’s enduring legacy and influence on the nation’s political history.
To ensure the safety of the participants of this event, provincial security forces have made necessary measures. Officials have deployed over 8,500 security personnel in all the entry and exit points of the venue. All the attendees are undergoing thorough checks before entering the venue.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also took to X and acknowledged the contributions of the late Benazir Bhutto. PM wrote that nation would always remember the contributions of Muhtarma Benazir to country’s welfare and progress. He also expressed his respect for the Bhutto family and her supporters, who continue to carry forward her legacy.
