J-35 stealth jet deal: According to a Bloomberg report, Chinese defence stocks are on surge after reports of Pakistan’s potential purchase of J-35 stealth jets.

In Shanghai trading, the builder of the J-35, AVIC Shenyang Aircraft Co., reached its 10% daily limit, continuing its three-session winning streak.

Additionally, Aerospace Nanhu Electronic Information Technology Co. experienced a 15% increase.

After weeks of unofficial rumors, Pakistan officially confirmed on social media that it intended to purchase the jets, which prompted the rally.

Prior to anticipated deliveries, Pakistani officials had previously stated that pilots were already in China training.

Defense analyst Brandon J. Weichert claims that China’s J-35A fifth-generation fighter jet, which is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan soon, has deep-strike capabilities, sophisticated sensors, and stealth technology that could greatly increase Pakistan’s air strength.

After the Chengdu J-20, the J-35A is China’s second fifth-generation aircraft, developed by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation.

To improve situational awareness and targeting accuracy, it has sophisticated avionics, electro-optical targeting systems, and an active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar.

The Chinese WS-19 or Russian RD-93 turbofan engines may propel the J-35A to 1,367 mph. By August, deliveries to Pakistan might start, and pilots are already training in China.

Pakistan’s old fleet of F-16s and Mirages is anticipated to be replaced by the fighter.

Weichert points out that Pakistan will be able to carry out deep-strike missions and more effectively challenge Indian air defenses thanks to the J-35A’s capabilities, which could change the aerial balance in the region.
