CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz has recently fired MS and CEO of Mayo Hospital, Lahore on charges of negligence towards duty.
She visited the Emergency block, Chest ward, ICU cardiology, and TB sections of the Mayo hospital.
She found that the patients were in a dilapidated condition and were not taken care properly.
CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz ordered officers to be dismissed under immediate effect. Moreover, CM wanted to ensure proper working of healthcare management.
She found the chief executive officer and the medical superintendent to be negligent of their duties.
She fired the MS remarking,
“Be grateful, that I’m firing you and not initiating legal action against you.â€

The patients complained her about the of the healthcare staff towards them improper care and negligence of the healthcare staff towards them.
She got utterly disappointed by the attitude of medical staff towards the patients.
Moreover, the cleanliness standards also Added fuel to the fire and made her enraged.
She emphasized that health and education are her first priority.
Moreover, she added, she’s not going to tolerate any negligence towards the health of the citizens of Punjab.
She added, any officer or employee found unaware and negligent of his responsibilities will face the music.
