Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), is currently on an official tour of the United States and recently held an interactive session with members of the Pakistani community in Washington, D.C.
The gathering was marked by a spirited turnout from expatriates who warmly welcomed the Army Chief, reflecting the strong bond between Pakistan and its global diaspora.
Throughout the session, General Munir recognized the overseas community’s enduring support and described them as invaluable representatives of Pakistan abroad. He acknowledged their essential role in bolstering the nation’s economic health through remittances, business ventures, and distinguished contributions in their respective professions.
In particular, members of the diaspora applauded the Pakistan Army’s role in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos (Marka-e-Haq), expressing admiration for the military’s commitment, discipline, and valor.
General Munir reiterated the need for consistent collaboration between Pakistan and its citizens living overseas. He highlighted the potential for shared progress through enhanced dialogue, unity of purpose, and a collective approach to national challenges.
The meeting concluded with mutual expressions of dedication to the country’s advancement, with the participants and the COAS jointly emphasizing their commitment to building a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.
