Doctor Asim, the attending physician for Bushra Bibi, has dismissed recent allegations of her being poisoned.
Former First Lady Bushra Bibi had claimed that she was being poisoned, attributing her poor health to this alleged poisoning. Currently held in custody at her husband Imran Khan’s residence in Bani Gala, she made these statements.
On Wednesday, leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party demanded a comprehensive medical examination for Bibi. Even former Prime Minister Imran Khan informed the court that his wife was being poisoned, citing marks on her skin and tongue.
He further requested that Dr. Asim Yunus from the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre should conduct a medical evaluation of Bushra Bibi.
Today, Dr. Asim, her physician, examined her and informed the media that there were no signs of food poisoning at present.
He clarified that while Bushra Bibi’s health is not completely optimal, there are no indications of food poisoning at the moment. Dr. Asim emphasized the necessity of conducting detailed tests to ensure her well-being. He also mentioned that if there were any concerns two months ago, he did not observe them, but her health has since improved.
