According to Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, regional tensions resulting from the Iran-Israel conflict have caused Egypt to postpone the official opening of its $1 billion Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza.
Details indicate that the opening, which was originally planned for July 3, is now anticipated to occur in the last quarter of 2025.
According to officials, the landmark should be unveiled in a setting that reflects the magnificence of Egypt’s ancient legacy, calling the decision a “national responsibility.”
The museum, which is close to the Giza Pyramids and is thought to be the biggest archaeological organization devoted to a single civilization, will continue to be partially accessible to tourists until that time.
