Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Army Chief, engaged in discussions with Pakistan Crypto Council’s Bilal bin Saqib on the country’s digital economy and the importance of youth expertise in blockchain, cryptocurrency, and AI.
The high-level gathering brought to light a common vision for Pakistan’s technological transformation, with an emphasis on equipping the next generation with digital skills that will enable them to compete worldwide.
The field marshal was briefed by Bilal bin Saqib about the Pakistan Crypto Council’s efforts to provide young Pakistanis with knowledge of blockchain, digital banking, and artificial intelligence during the meeting.
He underlined that Pakistani youth are keen to spearhead technological innovation rather than just following international trends.
“Our youth demand representation at the global tech table,” Bilal stated. “We’re raising a generation that sees AI, decentralization, and digital finance as tools for leadership and advancement — both personally and nationally — rather than as threats.”
Accelerating the growth of Pakistan’s digital financial ecosystem was another topic of debate. In keeping with global economic trends, both parties emphasized the significance of national resolve and preparedness to adopt developing technologies.
The gathering recognized that fostering economic resilience and global relevance requires training a workforce with digital skills.
It was decided that in order to establish Pakistan as a significant participant in the global digital scene, youth-centric initiatives needed to be given top priority.
Bilal bin Saqib is also expected to represent Pakistan at the Bitcoin 2025 Conference in Las Vegas, one of the world’s most prestigious gatherings of blockchain and cryptocurrency luminaries, as a testament to the nation’s expanding importance in the digital sphere.
