In a recent public statement, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb indicated that the upcoming financial framework for 2025–26 is expected to feature targeted provisions to ease the burden on underprivileged communities, while also sustaining the country’s economic momentum.
Aurangzeb, addressing the broader economic climate, acknowledged that meaningful transformation requires time. He credited the current administration, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, for steering the economy towards stability. “We are determined to maintain the progress made in recent months,” he remarked.
While avoiding specifics ahead of the official announcement, the minister highlighted that multiple steps are being undertaken to drive the country in a positive direction.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the federal budget’s official release on Tuesday, June 10. The government is also unveiling the National Economic Survey today. The Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has ratified the calendar for the upcoming budget discussions.
