Four bodies were discovered with gunshot injuries in Balochistan’s Nushki district on Tuesday.
The Levies Force personnel reached the area and secured the bodies, sending them to Nushki Teaching Hospital for investigation.
The victims have been identified by hospital sources as Punjab residents. Two of the victims, Moeen, son of Ghulam Mustafa, and Huzayfah, son of Muhammad Latif, were from Pakpattan.
The remaining two, Imran Ali and Irfan Ali, both of Maqsood Ahmed’s sons, were said to be from Rahim Yar Khan.
The victims were attacked by unidentified men, according to Levies officials. Evidence is being gathered from the scene by investigators, and the area has been sealed off to allow for a proper investigation.
Preliminary observations suggest that the victims have been fired upon or might have been subjected to violence. The final details, however, will be revealed after the post-mortem report.
Official agencies have initiated an investigation into the reasons and circumstances of the incident.
All four victims were tanker drivers and were abducted, according to the authorities, close to Ahmedwal on the night of May 9–10.
