Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced that the Punjab government will enroll workers’ children in seven campuses of COMSATS University and cover their fees.
The Punjab Workers Welfare Fund has invited applications for the free education initiative for the children of industrial and mine workers.
The chief minister stated, “We are opening the doors of higher education institutions for the children of all workers in Punjab. No child in Punjab will lack education now.”
Disabled and dead workers’ children will also receive free education in the university.
The CM was told that the registered workers could fill in their forms by July 9 at the Islamabad campus, July 17 at Lahore, July 4 in Wah Cantt and Abbottabad, July 11 in Vehari and Attock and August 15 at Sahiwal.
“A father, just like an umbrella, keeps his children in the shade by shielding them from the hot sun,” said Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif in her special Father’s Day message.
She further added,”A father is an individual who educates his children not only to survive, but to survive with their heads held high.” She emphasized,”I pay tribute to every father who loves his children and ensures their rights.”
While Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, in her Father’s Day message, said, “I pray that every son and daughter have a father who instills in them the courage to dream and make their dreams a reality.”
In another message on the Global Wind Day, the chief minister added, “There are vast opportunities for energy production from wind in the Punjab’s Thal region.”
She emphasized, “Punjab will look for wind energy generation opportunities through public-private partnership.”
