Gaza ceasefire plan proposed by Trump, Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump have agreed on Gaza ceasefire plan, according to Israeli media reports.

According to media reports the ceasefire plan tend to end Gaza war within two weeks, oust Hamas and install Arab-led rule over Gaza.

Quoting a source aware of the negotiations, the Israeli newspaper asserts that the two leaders, accompanied by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, held a telephone call during which the framework of a post-conflict regional realignment was drawn.

Under the planned scheme, the government of the Gaza Strip would be handed over to an alliance of four Arab states—the United Arab Emirates and Egypt among them—and the Hamas leadership would be sent into exile, while the remaining Israeli hostages would be freed.

The plan also revealed that these steps would open the door for Israel to establish diplomatic ties with various Arab and Muslim nations, including Saudi Arabia and Syria.

Hamas has rejected proposals for its leadership to go into exile, and no concrete framework has been outlined for how such a move would be implemented.

The plan also reportedly includes an option for the voluntary resettlement of Gazans in unspecified third countries. However, human rights organizations have previously condemned such proposals, labeling them a form of ethnic displacement.

This proposed agreement surfaces during a delicate ceasefire, which Iran allegedly violated earlier in the week. In response, former President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform to voice his frustration over Israel’s retaliation plans and went so far as to publicly urge an end to Prime Minister Netanyahu’s ongoing corruption trial—a rare and pointed critique from a U.S. president toward an Israeli leader.
