Quetta Gladiators stormed to the top of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 standings with a dramatic win over Multan Sultans on Sunday.

Needing 186 runs for victory, Quetta’s innings started with intent as openers Saud Shakeel and Khawaja Nafay launched a fiery assault.

Nafay’s explosive 51 off just 26 balls laid a strong platform, though the middle order struggled to maintain momentum.

The Gladiators faced setbacks midway through the chase with key dismissals, including Fernando, Chandimal, and Ashraf falling in quick succession.

However, the match remained on a knife’s edge going into the final over.

Hasan Nawaz, holding his ground under immense pressure, delivered the decisive blow with a towering six on the last delivery, sealing the win in sensational fashion and lifting Quetta to the top of the table as the league stage concluded.

Earlier, Multan Sultans posted a respectable 185/7 in their 20 overs. While their top order tried to dominate, Quetta’s bowling unit kept things under control.

Usman Tariq spearheaded the Gladiators’ bowling with an impactful spell, returning figures of 3 for 32.

He was ably supported by Khurram Shahzad, Faheem Ashraf, Abrar Ahmed, and Mohammad Wasim Jr., who each chipped in with a wicket to contain Multan’s charge.

Multan Sultans: Yasir Khan, Mohammad Rizwan (c), Jahanzaib Sultan, Tayyab Tahir, Humayon Altaf, Muhammad Amir Barki, Shahid Aziz, Peter Hatzoglou, Dilshan Madhushanka, Mohammad Hasnain, Ubaid Shah.

Quetta Gladiators: Saud Shakeel, Avishka Fernando, Dinesh Chandimal, Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Nawaz, Khawaja Nafay, Danish Aziz, Mohammad Wasim Jr., Khurram Shahzad, Abrar Ahmed, Usman Tariq.
