Balochistan civil and military officials including tribal elders, held a grand jirga to discuss the escalating regional issues.
The main focus of this event was to address the area’s issues and to seek solutions to resolve them. In this jirga many influential personalities including Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Governor Malik Abdul Wali Kakar, Commander Balochistan Corps Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan, IG FC (North) Abid Mazhar, eminent tribal elders and local residents.
Governor Balochistan stated that the jirga will be helpful to bridge the gap between commoners and officials. “The jirga aims to discuss the regional problems and to discover their solutions through negotiations”, Kakar highlighted.
Chief Minister Bugti also said that such gatherings are crucial to foster peace in the region. He emphasized that authorities would always prioritize table talk, while force would only be used when necessary.
“The core aim of the jirga is to bring stability to Balochistan and to seek the ways to tackle the area’s issues with the most suitable approach”, CM stated.
Commander Balochistan Corps Lt. Gen. Rahat Naseem also addressed the jirga members and assured the army’s sincere commitment to protect the nation.
Tribal elders appreciated the authorities initiative to address the regional issues in a peaceful way. They also assured their full support with the government and military to ensure lasting peace in the region.
Local leaders and community representatives showed trust in the government and the armed forces. They appreciated the collective efforts of all stakeholders and expressed hope for continued progress and stability in Balochistan.
