The airport made history lately, according to the 24News HD TV station, when it successfully completed a five-day flight test operation that began on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Upon landing on the runway, the first test flight was greeted with a customary salute.
These tests were conducted primarily to assess the functionality, caliber, and safety of the project’s air landing strips, flying procedures, and navigation facilities.
After it is finished, the New Gwadar International Airport will have a big impact on how Gwadar Port and the city as a whole evolve in the future.
