Pakistan government has reopened the Hajj applications to fill the Hajj application quota provided by the Saudi government.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs announced that they have over 5000 slots available for Hajj applications. To fulfill this quota, ministry has reopened the Hajj application submissions.
The Ministry issued that this step was taken to fill the quota and avoid returning the remaining seats to Saudi Arabia.
Under this new announcement, the applicants are encouraged to apply under the specific duration, which is of five days. These applicants will get the opportunity to visit the Holy land on first-come first-served basis.
The process for new Hajj applications will start from next week, which will continue for five days.
For this time, Hajj application procedure is made more than ever simple as no lottery will be held for the new applicants. All the first 5000 applicants will have equal chance to grab the opportunity of pilgrimage.
Ministry said that that this move is not only intended to maximize the quota allocation but also to ensure that no opportunity is lost to send pilgrims for Hajj.
The government had earlier received 81,500 applications under the Hajj scheme. Now the decision to reopen the application process is aimed at providing more opportunities to pilgrims. This time those who were unable to secure their spot in the initial round of applications can apply again.
