Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zuhri announced that they appreciate Lebanon’s decision of ceasefire and hope to go for the same to end the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
This announcement followed by a rare U.S.-French-brokered ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah.
Abu Zuhri stated that Lebanon has a right to safeguard its people. He further said that Hamas is also negotiating for such agreement that would lead to a ceasefire in Gaza.
Spokesperson also criticized Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, for not finding a common ground and failing to discuss the matter through negotiations.
Abu Zuhri announced that Hamas is looking for a peaceful solution and is ready to make compromises in negotiations. However, talks have been stalled since Qatar suspended mediation, citing a lack of concessions from both sides.
