Pakistani superstar Hania Aamir is under scrutiny following claims that she demanded Rs2 million for a single podcast appearance.
The revelation came on Mathira’s show, where Podcast host and FHM Pakistan CEO Adnan Faisal claimed that Hania Aamir asked for Rs2 million to appear on his show.
Adnan said that he gently declined the offer, as his platform does not pay guests for appearances. He said that, no doubt Hania is a wonderful actress, but his platform could not change the policy for her.
“All celebrities should be treated equally, as paying one visitor would unfairly set the standard for others”, Faisal told.
Faisal went on to say that there is a pressing need for transformation in Pakistan’s theatrical business. He took issue with local dramas’ recurring themes, especially the repetition of plots about extramarital affairs and disputes between mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law.
“Writers and directors should come with unique and evolving topics, other than these repeated love stories”, he added.
In order to improve the caliber of their storyline and production, Faisal advised Pakistani authors and producers to draw inspiration from international sites such as Netflix.
Additionally, he highlighted how media affects young viewers and emphasized the significance of producing material that is both thought-provoking and meaningful.
“We need to revolutionize storytelling if we want to positively impact viewers,” he said.
