The Meteorological Department has sounded a heatwave alert for various regions of Balochistan, warning that temperatures are expected to rise significantly over the coming days.

As per the latest forecast, multiple districts across the province are bracing for an intense surge in heat. The weather is expected to become even more extreme by the end of the week, affecting both northern and southern parts of Balochistan.

Districts such as Sibi, Nasirabad, Jaffarabad, Jhal Magsi, Sohbatpur, and Usta Muhammad are likely to endure exceptionally high temperatures. Similarly, areas including Kachhi, Harnai, Lasbela, Hub, Kharan, Panjgur, Kech, Chagai, and Washuk are also expected to experience sweltering conditions.

Meanwhile, Khuzdar, Surab, Mastung, Quetta, Nushki, and Zhob are anticipated to record above-average temperatures. Dust storms may also develop in parts of Quetta Division during the week.

Authorities from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) have urged residents, especially children, elderly individuals, and women, to take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the intense heat.

Scattered thunderstorms with light rain are also expected in some other parts of the country, although the dominant weather pattern remains hot and dry.
