Pakistan Higher Education Commission (HEC) has formally published the provincial merit list of the PM Laptop, which was revealed on February 7, and is great news to numerous students in the country, the ARY News reported.
The list consists of those candidates who are fit to join many of the universities owned by the government especially Sindh Agriculture University (SAU), Tandojam and other universities in Sindh.
As per the spokesperson of SAU, there is a certain online portal that has been initiated, which can help in the process of verifying the status of the applicants.
The students can now get to know whether they have been selected, on a waiting list or they are out because of academic or administrative reasons.
It is a further attempt to empower students under the PM Youth Laptop Scheme 2025 so that they can enhance their academic and research abilities with the help of digital devices.
This initiative will enhance digital literacy and the gap in technology on colleges and universities.
To maintain transparency, SAU has communicated the merit details on the notice boards, the university websites, and the social media using specific Student Focal Persons (SFPs) to facilitate provisioning of this information.
The university authorities have advised their students to ensure that they confirm their status early enough, so as to either ensure that they remain in the scheme or address the differences on time.
The official site of the HEC allows viewing the online portal by going to the PM Laptop Scheme 2025 on the official site and entering the CNIC or the registration number of the student.
