The Houthi group in Yemen has vowed unwavering support for Iran amid escalating Israeli aggression.
“We will not abandon Iran or any Muslim nation facing Israeli aggression, just as we did not abandon Palestine or Lebanon,” said Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a leading Houthi.
The announcement coincides with reports that Tehran’s air defense systems are actively thwarting an ongoing attack on the Iranian capital. Defense responses across major Iranian installations have been sparked by missile and drone strikes, according to local sources.
Meanwhile, air raid sirens were activated in Jerusalem when the Israeli military claimed that a missile had been fired from Yemen towards Israel. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), attempts were being made to stop the missile before it hit the ground.
With Israel, Iran, and Yemen’s Houthis all becoming more involved in a larger battle, the escalation highlights the region’s rising instability.
