Pakistani film star Humayun Saeed stunned his co-star Mahira Khan during a recent interview with an unexpected answer.
Mahira and Humayun are currently busy promoting their Eid-ul-Adha release, Lo Guru. Recently the actors attended a lighthearted conversation a clip of which went viral on social media.
When asked what gift they prefer in love, Mahira Khan replied, “I love small gestures—big gifts aren’t my thing. Even something simple like a set of bangles means more to me.”
However, when the same question was posed to Humayun Saeed, he surprised everyone with his response. “All I need is my wife’s permission,” he said. Mahira looked visibly taken aback, trying to grasp exactly what he meant.
Noticing her reaction, Humayun clarified, “I want my wife to say, ‘Go ahead and do whatever you want, just come back to me afterward.’ That kind of freedom is important.”
The host then asked, “What is the most important thing in any relationship?” Humayun did not hesitate: “Trust. It’s crucial that partners have complete faith in each other.”
Hearing this, Mahira smiled and remarked, “Humayun is very clever—first he said he needs his wife’s permission to do anything, and now he’s saying that trust is key in a relationship.”
It’s worth noting that Lo Guru marks Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed’s first on-screen collaboration in nearly a decade. The film—directed by Nadeem Baig—is set to release this Eid-ul-Adha. Alongside Mahira and Humayun, the cast includes Momina Iqbal, Javed Sheikh, Ahmed Ali Butt, Marina Khan, Mani Liaquat, Ramsha Khan, Warda Aziz, Usman Peerzada, Saher Ali Abro, and Polish actress Natalia Janoszek.
