IAEA Chief refutes claims of Iran developing nuclear weapons
TwitterFacebook

Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), has clarified that there is no indication Iran is pursuing the development of nuclear weapons, countering widespread speculation in global media.

Grossi addressed the concerns in a recent statement, saying that while there have been ongoing questions regarding Iran’s uranium enrichment—particularly its progression to the 60% purity level—this activity does not equate to an active nuclear weapons program.

“We have not seen evidence of a structured initiative aimed at producing nuclear arms,” Grossi stated.

This clarification carries weight in the current geopolitical climate, especially following recent military action by Israel.

Israel has long viewed Iran’s nuclear ambitions as a direct threat to its national security and reportedly launched attacks based on fears that Tehran was building nuclear weapons.

In response to Israel’s actions, Iran mounted a retaliatory campaign that triggered widespread discussion across social media platforms.

Many users expressed approval of Iran’s firm stance, especially in light of the casualties and destruction caused by the conflict. Public sentiment online appears to be leaning in favor of Iran’s reaction, highlighting a divided but vocal global audience.
