Leaked details also reveal that Imran wants some level of military backing behind this negotiation effort. Even open to idea of connecting with someone from establishment to move things along, a source close to matter claimed.
Barrister Gohar, when contacted by The News, confirmed he passed on premier’s message to Khan. He avoided giving away much though—said he can’t share exact content of their chat, adding, “What was said between us can’t be disclosed.”
This shift came not long after PM Shehbaz publicly invited PTI to join wider political talks during a speech in Assembly. Gohar had expressed openness at the time, but party made clear—without Imran Khan’s blessing, nothing could move forward.
