Former Prime Minister Imran Khan believe that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after “embarrassment” in the recent military skirmish with Pakistan, would “retaliate” in a bid to redeem his reputation within the country.
While speaking to his lawyers inside Adiala Jail, Ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Narendra Modi, embarrassed by the recent Indo-Pak tensions, will retaliate to save face.
Speaking on current trials pertaining to the events on May 9, 2023, he termed them “baseless” and part of a larger conspiracy to oust Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
“May 9 was a false flag operation,” Khan stated, going on to say, “To date, no CCTV footage has been shown to this day. The last two years have made it crystal clear that its only aim was to break PTI.”
He also criticized the delay in court proceedings related to the elections, explaining that Khan believed officials had stolen seats from their candidates in Peshawar by manipulating Form-47.
“However, after 15 months, and multiple shifts in laws and judges, hearings haven’t even started.”
Khan emphasized his role in the party and highlighted that the leadership must consult him in policymaking decisions within KP. “The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government requests my opinion on matters of the budget and policy, the people have asked PTI to rule, and hence the policymaking responsibility also lies with us.”
Denying recent reports in the media, he explained, “No one has spoken to me on any negotiations.”
Khan threatened increasing regional threats, terrorism, and economic deterioration and demanded national dialogue, but only with the rulers as “it’s meaningless to engage with the puppet PML-N government. It’s a Form-47-installed government has wasted two months already.
