Aleema Khan stated on Monday that PTI founder and chairman Imran Khan had called upon party workers to roll up their sleeves for a major movement which he would soon announce, as the times had changed.
“I will not call people to Islamabad. Instead, we will initiate a movement across Pakistan,” she quoted the party supremo as saying to her during their meeting at the Adiala Jail.
But she pointed out that Imran had made it categorically clear that there was no room in the party for those playing on both sides of the wicket, and that they must make up their own minds.
She regretted that the rights of common prisoners were not being extended to her brother and even the court orders were being consistently disobeyed.
Additionally, she said Imran could speak with his children only once every eight months. She also added that the authorities were not permitting his sisters to meet him, as the party founder had complained.
Aleema quoted Imran as saying, “Even if they imprison me for the rest of my life, I will never surrender. They can do what they like.”
At the same time, Senator Syed Shibli Faraz stated that the PPP and PMLN government would come to an end as soon as the party founder was released.
Addressing the media at the Islamabad High Court, Shibli informed that the petitioners approach the court to get justice and ‘we believe in the Constitution and the law’.
He added that everyone was monitoring the present situation and wondered who will do investment in Pakistan.
