Aleema and Uzma were arrested during th PTI protest at D-Chowk in Islamabad.
According to official sources strict security measures have been implemented in Jhelum.
Earlier, the ATC has denied the police’s request for further physical remand of Aleema and Uzma and issued notices on the bail applications of them.
Both sisters were brought to court under tight security, with both legal teams presenting their cases.
Defence lawyer Niazullah Khan Niazi argued that the police had no valid reason to extend the remand. Prosecutor Raja Naveed countered, claiming that more time is required to recover essential evidence.
Another defence attorney, Usman Riaz Gill argued that the legal process for remanding women had not been correctly followed.
Gill requested to play video footage of the protest in the court to highlight the unlawful police actions.
However, Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra denied the request and stated that the USB containing the footage should be reviewed by police investigators first.
Tahir expressed dissatisfaction with the prosecution. He criticized the police for not properly documenting case developments.
Notices for bail applications have been issued with the next hearing set for October 19.
