Earlier, In a decisive military retaliation to cross-border aggression, Pakistan has initiated a strategic campaign—codenamed Operation Bunyan ul Marsoos—targeting key Indian military positions.
The move follows Pakistan’s claim that India launched missile attacks on three of its airbases early Saturday, one of which is located near Islamabad. Most of the projectiles were reportedly neutralised by Pakistan’s air defence systems.
This escalation marks a sharp intensification of hostilities between the nuclear-armed neighbours, who have been trading fire across the Line of Control since Wednesday. The recent conflict stems from renewed tensions over the Kashmir region, with Pakistan vowing a robust counter to any violation of its sovereignty.
Named after a Quranic term meaning “a wall of molten lead,†Operation Bunyan ul Marsoos symbolises unity, resilience, and unyielding defence in the face of aggression.
As part of the offensive, Pakistani forces struck Indian military sites while also memorialising the children who lost their lives in the earlier missile attacks attributed to India. A military launch vehicle was adorned with a banner listing the names of the young victims—a somber tribute underscoring the human cost of the escalating conflict.
