Infinix unveiled the GT 20 Pro, their newest phone in the GT series, during a recent launch event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a replacement for the GT 10 Pro, which debuted in August of last year and is designed primarily as a gaming phone. It will soon make its way into the international scene.
The screen is a 6.78-inch LTPS AMOLED with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and 1080p resolution, making it fairly tall. Despite the fact that Infinix has not stated the touch sampling rate, the screen probably provides a low input latency for gaming purposes.
The screen features a fingerprint sensor beneath it, a 10-bit display that supports 1B colors, and a maximum brightness of 1300 nits. RGB lights are essential for a gaming phone, which is why Infinix included a Mecha Loop LED interface on the rear panel. These RGB lights may be customized to accommodate up to 8 distinct colors and 4 different lighting effects. Not only can these lighting effects be utilized for games, but they may also be employed for calls and notifications.
Despite not having the most powerful processor for gaming, the phone’s VC liquid cooling system, which has a 73% smaller footprint than its predecessors, could allow the Dimensity 8200 Ultimate to last through extended gaming sessions. Additionally, there is 66% increased thermal conductivity in the main heat source region, which usually requires cooling.
Since gaming smartphones often don’t prioritize cameras, the 108MP main sensor on the rear is joined by just two 2MP cameras for depth sensing and macro photography. This does not have an ultrawide shooter. There are two video recording options: 1080p 240 FPS and 4K 60 FPS.
The battery has a rated capacity of 4,500 mAh and can be charged at 45 W via a USB C connector.
Although Infinix has not yet disclosed regional price and availability information, the phone will be available in three colors: Mecha Orange, Mecha Silver, and Mecha Blue. But given Infinix’s customary price structures, this phone ought to be reasonably priced for the general public.
