An Iranian ballistic missile hit Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba on Thursday morning, resulting in major damage to the facility.
Hospital officials said that a number of areas in the facility were damaged, and the old surgical building was heavily damaged.
Following this new attack on Israel, many people were struck in an elevator with the security officials immediately reaching the site.
An 80-year-old man is reported to be in serious condition due to injuries from shrapnel and the explosion.
In the city of Holon, there were also three others who sustained serious injuries. At least 30 others with light injuries were reported in different locations affected by the volley of missiles, according to Israeli media reports.
According to Israel reports, there was an overall launching of over 20 missiles by Iran, and at least three direct hits accounted in central Israel. There were explosions that could be heard on different cities and emergency services are still in the process of assessing and reacting to the affected areas.
Medical contingents and the Israel Fire and Rescue Service are also on the move to rescue the injured and the safety of people in and around the hospital.
Notably, the new retaliative missile strikes are being part of the 12 the phase of Operation True Promise III, which was initiated late Friday night in response to Israeli unprovoked aggression, which resulted into the assassination of several top-ranking military commanders, nuclear scientists as well as civilians, including children and women.
