Iran unleashed a new barrage of ballistic and hypersonic missiles toward Israel on Saturday morning, resulting 4 deaths and 90 injuries, according to Iranian media reports.
Iranian officials characterized this round of attack on Israel as the fifth phase of its retaliation operation known as ‘True Promise 3’.
According to Iranian media and foreign news organizations, the most recent round of missile strikes targeted many Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv and Haifa, where eyewitnesses reported huge explosions. Warning sirens were activated in northern occupied Palestine, and inhabitants were urged to seek shelter.
According to Iran state-affiliated Mehr News Agency, quoting Israeli sources, a 50-story skyscraper in Tel Aviv was severely damaged, and scores of missiles and drones escaped Israel’s air defense systems and reached crucial infrastructure.
Iranian authorities announced that “no part of Israel will be safe” as the retaliatory campaign started.
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) acknowledged that its air defences were activated in response to the incoming projectiles and urged the population to seek shelter. However, indications indicate that some missiles pierced the Iron Dome and David’s Sling defense layers.
According to AFP and Al Jazeera, the missile salvos began late Thursday night and continued until Friday morning, killing at least four Israelis, including one woman, and injuring more than 90 others. According to Israeli emergency care services, seven people suffered minor injuries in Tel Aviv. Authorities have prohibited the photographing of the destruction inflicted by the Iranian strikes.
Israel’s police have reported that, while many missiles were intercepted, those that landed caused property damage in Tel Aviv and Haifa neighborhoods. “At this point, four deaths have been reported, and over 90 people have been injured. “The property damage is extensive,” a representative stated.
Iranian leaders, on the other hand, claim that their activities are entirely punitive, with the goal of holding Israel accountable for invading their sovereignty and executing vital national figures. The Iranian regime claims that its strikes were meant at both military and key infrastructure targets in Israel.
