The Government of Pakistan has categorically dismissed as false and misleading a wave of reports emerging from Israeli media suggesting that Islamabad issued a nuclear threat against Tel Aviv.
Responding to the allegations on Sunday, an official from the Foreign Office called the claims entirely fictional, stating that such disinformation campaigns serve only to sow confusion and strain diplomatic atmospheres.
“There is no substance to these accusations. The reports are nothing more than a deliberate distortion of facts,” the spokesperson clarified.
Reinforcing the country’s longstanding position, the Foreign Office stressed that Pakistan exercises great caution in nuclear matters and continues to act with prudence as a key regional actor.
“Circulating such baseless narratives is irresponsible and heightens tensions unnecessarily,” the spokesperson added.
The controversy arises in the backdrop of intensified conflict in the Middle East, following Iran’s recent retaliatory missile strikes targeting multiple urban centers in Israel.
According to reports, cities such as Tel Aviv and Jerusalem have been hit, causing dozens of casualties and widespread damage to civilian infrastructure.
These developments are seen as Tehran’s direct response to Israel’s prior military actions.
