Islamabad weather is expected to persist heatwave conditions throughout the week according to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
According to PMD, a continental air system is dominating the region, while a high-pressure zone is expected to strengthen across most areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, starting tomorrow. These atmospheric conditions will lead to predominantly hot and dry weather across the twin cities and most regions, with extreme heat predicted for the lowland areas from Thursday onward.
Daytime temperatures in the southern regions—including Sindh, southern Punjab, and Balochistan—are anticipated to be 4°C to 6°C above the seasonal average. In the northern and central parts of the country—such as central and upper Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan—temperatures may soar 5°C to 7°C above normal.
