Israel has launched a missile strike on Iran, according the reports by western and Israeli media, hitting Islamic Republic’s central province Isfahan.
Official media of Iran has also reported three explosions near Qahjavarestan, saying “drones were shot down and they caused no damage to life or property.”
Irani officials also confirmed drones were successfully shot down as the authorities have activated air defence system in several cities.
BBC and CNN reported that Israel launched missile strikes against its arch-rival in retaliation of Iran’s attack on Tel Aviv. Israel attack was answer to recent missiles and drones attack by Tehran, reports says.
It is said Israel has targeted Iran’s nuclear facilities in its central province Isfahan which, according to Iranian officials, are safe and protected. Some reports indicate Israeli has hit Iran’s army base camp.
Analysts say Israel attack was limited and if its was all then it caused no damage to Iran.
United Stated has so far avoided commenting on the situation as US President has already warned Israel not to launch any attack on Iran. Joe Biden, however, had made the commitment to help defend Israel in case of Iran’s attack on its ally.
Iran on April 14 conducted an attack on Israel, deploying more than 200 drones and missiles, as confirmed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
The IDF reported that Iran sent over 100 drones and launched missiles, labeling the operation as “Operation True Promise.”
The attacks were purportedly in retaliation for an airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, attributed to Israel, resulting in casualties among Iranian commanders.
Iran warned of strong retaliation against any country aiding Israeli attacks on Iranian territory.
In response, Yemen’s Huthi rebels, allegedly with Iran’s backing, launched drones toward Israel.
The IDF remains vigilant, monitoring potential targets with defense systems fully operational.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu assured readiness for any situation, thanking support from the US, Britain, France, and other allies.
The US, under President Joe Biden, reaffirmed its commitment to stand with Israel against Iranian aggression. A retired Israeli general disclosed that each Iranian drone carried 20 kg of explosives.
The IDF assured the public of its capability to intercept armed drones and activate sirens in case of threats, leading to heightened anxiety among Israeli citizens with advance warnings.
