Israel has advised Iranians living near Tehran’s weapons facilities to evacuate amid ongoing missile exchanges with Iran that began on Friday.
“The Israeli military will strike these sites and will continue to peel away the Iranian snake’s skin in Tehran and everywhere — targeting nuclear capabilities and weapons systems,” said Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz in a statement.
An Israeli military official said in a post on X in Arabic and Farsi that Israel had already warned Iranians residing near Iran’s weapons installations to evacuate.
The spokeswoman claimed that the notice covered all organizations involved in the production of weapons.
Israel launched its biggest military assault on Iran on Friday, saying its goals were to stop Iran from developing atomic weapons and to destroy its ballistic missile capability.
Earlier today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the site of a deadly attack in Bat Yam, where 13 people lost their lives, marking his first public appearance since hostilities with Iran began.
The visit is Netanyahu’s first public appearance after being absent for several days, raising concerns in international media about his absence at a crucial moment.
