Prominent Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) politician Hina Parvez Butt dismissively reshared and commented on a post by British-American broadcaster Mehdi Hasan on X.
Mehdi Hasan was inconsolable when he laughed at PML-N leader Hina Parvez’s accusation that former prime minister Imran Khan bought an interview with him for his media firm “Zeteo.”
With the headline, “Take money, give an interview,” Hina Parvez Khan posted a screenshot of Hasan’s interview link.
Mehdi responded to Hina’s tweet by saying, “Paid” on the post below indicates that it is exclusive to Zeteo users who have paid for access.
Additionally, he wrote: “A conspiracy theory claiming that I was “paid” to conduct my interview with Imran Khan is being promoted by this Pakistani politician from the ruling party.”
“Imagine being this ignorant, conspiratorial, and elected,” Mehdi Hasan continued.
He said, “Of course, the word ‘paid’ would never have been written for anyone to read if the grand conspiracy to pay Zeteo to interview Imran Khan was actually underway.”
