Justin Baldoni recorded a long voicemail apologizing to Blake Lively over a movie scene, as per reports, lately.
It came when they failed to agree on a crucial rooftop scene in their movie It Ends With Us.
The nearly seven-minute communication comes at a time when TMZ, on Monday, made the audio public that featured Baldoni’s remorse for his actions on set.
In the recording, Baldoni is able to recall a message received from Lively where she articulates her own feelings of not being valued at all.
His opening words of an apology are as follows: “My heart sank when I read your text.” He realizes his shortcomings along the way.
He thanks her for honest answers, for that he says proves a vulnerability and faith.
According to the film’s director and actor, Baldoni, he is an erring man. Though his mistakes catch up with him, he vows to be responsible.
He admits, “I’m going to screw this up.” “I’ll say something wrong and get it wrong, but I will apologize and make it right.”
The apology finds its way when the actors’ legal cases were getting tougher.
Lively claims Baldoni started a smear campaign against her and has accused him of sexually harassing her on work.
Baldoni denies these claims and has filed a countersuit against Lively, her publicist Leslie Sloane, and her husband Ryan Reynolds. The trial date is March 2026.
In the voice note, Justin Baldoni praises Lively’s script revisions as superb and crucial to the movie’s success.
He recalls a meeting where Reynolds and Taylor Swift commended Lively’s contributions at her home in New York.
“Your rewrites don’t need anyone’s approval,” Baldoni stresses that.
“They’re great and make the film shine.”
The rooftop scene had gotten contentious in the press tour.
To Hall’s surprise, Lively confessed that Reynolds had helped with it.
There is no word from the representatives of Lively and Baldoni on the leaked audio.
It speaks to how things are building up between this power couple with the court case intensifying.
