Acclaimed writer Khalil ur Rehman Qamar shared the story of his second marriage to Rosina, the ex-wife of actor Faisal Qureshi.
In a recent podcast with journalist Irshad Bhatti, Khalil ur Rehman Qamar discussed for the first time his second marriage.
During the podcast, Irshad Bhatti asked whether the storyline of the popular drama serial Mere Paas Tum Ho was based on his own life. Journalist quoted an event in his real life when he was in Murree working on a drama and then married the wife of Faisal working in the same drama.
Responding to this, Khalil ur Rehman Qamar clarified that these were merely speculations and that Faisal Qureshi is a very good friend and a fantastic actor.
He recalled that when Faisal Qureshi came to audition, he amazed him with his acting talent.
Regarding his second marriage to Faisal Qureshi’s ex-wife, Qamar explained that it was a separate story, which he could not share in the podcast.
Writer clarified that his marriage was not the cause of the divorce. In fact, he had an argument with Faisal Qureshi at the time of the divorce, and he had advised him not to ruin his home.
The playwright emphasized that he was not wealthy enough to cause a woman to divorce her first husband because of him. He swore that his actions were not responsible for the divorce.
Qamar also shared that before his second marriage, he had barely met Rosina for only twice.
It is noteworthy that Khalil ur Rehman Qamar has been married twice. His first marriage was in 1985 to his cousin Ruby Naz, and his second marriage was in 2000 to Rosina, Faisal Qureshi’s ex-wife.
