Expect more rain, wind, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms in Lahore and various parts of Punjab on Monday evening and night, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
A strong westerly wave is prevailing over most regions of Pakistan, leading to these weather conditions.
Areas likely to experience rain, wind, and thunderstorms include Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, and Kasur. Isolated heavy rainfall and hailstorms are also expected during this period.
Dry weather is predicted for most districts of the province on Tuesday and Wednesday, although partly cloudy conditions are anticipated in Murree, Galyat, and surrounding areas.
Temperature-wise, Lahore is forecasted to have maximum temperatures ranging between 26-28 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 28-30 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
In the past 24 hours, Lahore and parts of Punjab experienced rain, wind, and thunderstorms.
Rainfall measurements include Mandi Bahauddin 22mm, Mangla 13mm, Murree 11mm, Jhelum 10mm, Faisalabad, Sheikhupura 05mm, Jhang, Sargodha 04mm, Joharabad 03mm, Hafizabad 02mm, Sialkot (Airport 02mm, City 01mm), Islamabad (Saidpur, Bokra 01mm), Rawalpindi (Chaklala, Shamsabad 01mm), Attock, Chakwal, Lahore (City), and Sahiwal 01mm.
Bahawalpur recorded the highest temperature in the province at 28.5 degrees Celsius, while Lahore’s maximum temperature reached 27.5 degrees Celsius.
The relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 82 percent in Bahawalpur and 61 percent in Lahore.
