The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported that moisture-laden air is moving into central and southern Pakistan, accompanied by a prevailing westerly system affecting upper and central regions.
Lahore weather conditions are anticipated to remain in effect over the next two days.
As a result, light to moderate rainfall combined with gusty winds is likely to impact areas including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, and surrounding districts. Cities like Murree, Galiyat, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, and Sialkot may also experience isolated weather disturbances, including hailstorms.
Authorities have warned that sudden weather events could pose risks to loosely anchored objects such as solar panels, trees, and vehicles.
Temperatures in Lahore are expected to peak between 38°C and 40°C on Monday, and may slightly drop to a range of 37°C to 39°C on the following two days.
Although much of Punjab experienced dry and hot conditions over the past 24 hours, light rainfall was recorded in some areas. Rainfall totals included 8mm in Bahawalnagar, 4mm in Okara, 3mm in Sahiwal, and 2mm in Toba Tek Singh.
Bhakkar and Jhelum topped the temperature charts, recording highs of 46°C, while Joharabad, Mandi Bahauddin, and Mangla registered 45°C. Lahore saw a maximum temperature of 39°C on Sunday, with relative humidity reaching 35% in the evening.
Earlier, Much of Pakistan survived hot and dry conditions this Sunday. However, it was predicted that mild relief may arrive in the form of light showers and cloud cover later in the day, according to fresh updates from the national weather service.
While the plains remain particularly sweltering, slight changes in atmospheric patterns suggest that some regions could experience gusty winds, sporadic rain, and even hailstorms by evening.
