Lal Masjid viral video is making rounds on internet featuring Maulana Abdul Aziz expelling Mufti Abdul Qavi at gunpoint.
A highly charged incident unfolded at Islamabad’s renowned Lal Masjid when its administrator, Maulana Abdul Aziz, forcefully removed Mufti Abdul Qavi from the premises at gunpoint. The dramatic confrontation, captured on camera, quickly spread across social media, drawing widespread attention.
The Lal Masjid viral video shows Mufti Qavi seated in the Darul Ifta of Jamia Hafsa, engaged in a tea gathering with scholars, when Maulana Abdul Aziz stormed in armed and visibly furious. Without any preliminary dialogue, Maulana Aziz ordered Qavi to leave, threatening him directly: “Leave now or I will shoot you.”
A startled Mufti Qavi promptly exited the room. During the outburst, Maulana Aziz accused Qavi of being dishonest and warned of severe repercussions if he returned. “If you show up here again, I’ll have you tied up and lashed,” he declared.
Additional footage shows Maulana Aziz advancing toward the Darul Ifta with a rifle in hand, accompanied by armed guards. He confronted Mufti Qavi once more, repeating threats and branding him a “fraud.”
Mufti Qavi later returned briefly to take his bag he had left behind. Speaking to reporters, he explained he had gone to Lal Masjid for Friday prayers and had been invited by scholars to discuss a religious issue when the incident occurred. “Maulana Abdul Aziz forced me out of the mosque—God’s own house,” he lamented.
Meanwhile, Maulana Aziz defended his actions, condemning Qavi’s presence and warning others to avoid association with him. “Anyone who chooses to sit with him will face consequences,” he said. He further accused Qavi of promoting indecency and disrespecting religious values, declaring, “He should be punished wherever found. He’s not one of us.”
