Eid-ul-Adha 2025: Pakistan’s leaders, including the President and PM, have offered heartfelt wishes, emphasizing sacrifice, unity, and support for the oppressed.
President Asif Zardari urged residents to live up to these ideals outside of the holiday in his Eid speech, emphasizing the value of fostering sacrifice, love, brotherhood, and unity in daily life.
In his congrats to the country, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Eid-ul-Adha serves as a potent reminder of the sacrifice and obedience of Prophets Ibrahim (AS) and Ismail (AS).
“The greater lesson of sacrificing one’s own desires and interests for higher moral goals is the essence of Eid, not just the ritual of animal sacrifice,” he stated.
The martyrs of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsous and the victims of Indian aggression, particularly the children killed by terrorists, were honored by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
“We thank Allah for His blessings on this Eid and encourage people to sacrifice not only animals but also their ego, arrogance, and anger,” she stated.
She also denounced the ongoing horrors and showed unity with the Gazan people.
Using the sacrifices of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS) as timeless examples, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized in his message that Eid teaches selflessness and submission to Allah’s will.
He praised the martyrs who stood up for the nation and urged people to put a stop to hatred and spread love.
He pointed out that May 10 was a historic day of unification between the military and the populace.
