The Lahore High Court (LHC) has adjourned the hearing of the petition against Pakistani cricketer and former captain Babar Azam, following the decision of the Additional Sessions Judge until December 12 without proceeding.
It should be noted that the woman had accused cricketer Babar Azam of harassment, on which the Additional Sessions Judge had also pronounced the decision.
The petitioner’s lawyer requested that the case be adjourned. This petition was filed in 2021, in which the woman had accused Babar of harassment and blackmail.
The Sessions Judge had ordered the registration of a case based on the petition, prompting Babar to assert that the Additional Sessions Judge’s decision was inconsistent with the facts.
He appealed to the court to nullify the ruling of the Additional Sessions Judge.
It should be noted that a hearing was held on the petition of a woman named Hamiza against national cricket team player and former captain Babar, and the sessions court while delivering its verdict, restrained Babar Azam and his family from harassing Hamiza Mukhtar.
