Renowned Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, known for her powerful performances since her debut, continues to make waves in the entertainment industry. After the box office success of her recent film Love Guru, she is now part of Pakistan’s much-anticipated first Netflix original series Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo.
Based on the best-selling novel by Farhat Ishtiaq, the upcoming series boasts a star-studded lineup including Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Maya Ali, Hania Aamir, Khushhal Khan, Iqra Aziz, and Ahad Raza Mir. Although the series was planned for a Netflix release, political tensions between India and Pakistan have cast uncertainty over its launch. Since the platform’s South Asian content is overseen by its Indian division, the show’s future remains unclear.
In a recent interview with DW Urdu, Mahira Khan addressed the issue, confirming that the series has been fully shot. However, she admitted that she doesn’t know when or how it will be released. She praised her fellow cast members for their performances but acknowledged that the release now lies beyond their control.
Her remarks sparked a wave of reactions online. Some viewers expressed frustration over the dependency on cross-border platforms.
